Watercolor

I hadn't picked up watercolor painting since high school art class, but in the spring of 2019, inspired by a local artist, I got out my 15 year old paint and checked out Everyday Watercolor from the library. Since then, I've been following tutorials from books and Let's Make Art.

You can see my latest paintings on Instagram.

Gnarwhal

Playing on the words G.N.A.R. and narwhal, I decided to design a freestyle skiing narwhale. Initially designed to adorn my ski instructor business cards, friends encouraged me to make Gnarwhal shirts as well.

While I haven't made any sales, they were fun to design and ended up making really fun stickers.

Business Cards

For my job as a children's ski instructor, I thought it would be fun to have stickers on the back of my business card. That way, the kids would be excited to get the business card and would remember they had it in their pocket.

Mt. Daly

Almost every Christmas, I screen print shirts for my family. In 2018, I designed this interpretation of Mt. Daly -- the mountain that overlooks my current mountain home. Mt. Daly features an interesting diagonal stripe of light-colored rock that scientists call a geologic dike.
