Hi, I'm Sadie. I'm a Software Engineer for Outside Inc. with 12 years of experience. I currently work in React and occasionally Wordpress, but I'm always open to learning new technologies. (This year I've been constantly thrown into new technologies: from bit.dev, Tailwind, React, React Native, Swift and Objective-C, to GraphQL.) I'm passionate about optimizing site performance by digging into slow transactions and queries, and making incremental gains. I love A-B testing user experiences to determine what motivates users.

I'm also a Ski Instructor for Aspen Snowmass, with 21 years of experience. I've been skiing since I was 3 years old, and teaching since I was 15. Sharing my passion for skiing and the mountains is incredibly rewarding. I love watching people progress from never-ever to identifying as a 'skier'. As an instructor, I work to empower my students to reach their goals on the slopes.

My two jobs are not my only passions. I got started as a ski instructor, and now work for Outside because I love snow, the mountains, and the outdoors. I love to hike, bike, and camp. I've also always been interested in art and design.
